BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A 26-year-old Battle Creek man was charged Monday with multiple counts after an arrest Saturday a local hotel related to domestic violence.
Police responded to a call from the Red Roof Inn on Beckley Road the morning of January 30th. Before officers arrived, Brandon Jakar Moore had fled in a stolen vehicle but returned while they were there, according to the Battle Creek Enquirer. The vehicle belonged to a woman who was later identified as the Moore’s girlfriend, who he allegedly had assaulted. He became combative with authorities before his eventual arrest.
In a virtual arraignment in Calhoun County Court, Moore received seven charges related to the incident. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 8th.
