KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Fire Marshal is investigating a fire on West Main Street in Kalamazoo that took place Monday.
Around 12:18 p.m., officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) responded to the 1500 block of West Main Street on a report of a structure fire.
Upon arrival, smoke was seen coming from the second floor of the home.
The fire was located on the main floor, and was brought under control in 10 minutes. The occupants were home at the time of the incident, but were able to evacuate safely. No injuries occurred during this incident.
Currently, the cause of the fire is unknown, and is under investigation but the Fire Marshal’s office.
