KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Tuesday, WOOD TV 8 reported that the remains of a missing woman, previously thought to be in Kalamazoo, have been discovered in Illinois, and one suspect is now in custody.
Previously, police reported that 46-year-old Laura Wolfe-Orlovich was last seen leaving her residence in Marion Illinois on July 15, 2020, with a man going by the nickname “Snoop.” She told her roommates that she was heading up north to help Snoop with family matters after his son was reportedly shot and killed.
While away, Wolfe-Orlovich called her roommates and said she was stuck in Kalamazoo and desperately trying to find a way back home after the two began fighting.
On Tuesday, WOOD TV reported that her remains had been discovered by a farmer in late October 2020. Those remains were confirmed to belong to Wolfe-Orlovich, and her death was then considered to be a homicide.
WOOD TV also reported that 39-year-old Tennessee man Lynn Ware Jr. was already a person of interest in the case, and he was arrested on December 31 in O’Fallon, IL.
He is currently jailed in La Porte County while the case remains under investigation.
