BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN) – Battle Creek Police plans to highlight two cold case homicides every month during 2021 in an attempt to generate leads.
The cases posted for January go back over four decades.
Police are looking for information in the January 31, 1976 death of Ellen Hanson. Her body was found in a bedroom at 140 Brewer Drive. Based on the evidence collected, it’s believed the victim might have known the suspect prior to her death.
Information is also being sought in the January 2, 1977 murder of Curtis Settler. He was found dead from a gunshot wound underneath a broken second story window at 122 Oakland Avenue.
