KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Texas Township couple is celebrating an extra-special early morning delivery that occurred just after midnight, marking the first baby born at Bronson BirthPlace in Kalamazoo for 2021.
Rowyn Jade Weimer, a baby girl, was born at 12:14 a.m. Friday. Rowyn weighed in at 6 lbs., 14 oz. Her parents are Celeste and Blake Weimer of Texas Township.
This is the sixth baby, but first daughter, for the parents. Blake said the entire family is “super excited” to welcome Rowyn and they think her January 1 birthday is very special.
Shortly after, at 1:27 a.m., the Bronson BirthPlace in Battle Creek also welcomed its first baby of 2021.
