CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Tuesday, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office issued a Winter Weather Advisory, which will be in effect until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the Office, mixed precipitation is expected, as well as up to two inches of snow. There may also be ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch.
The advisory concerns Calhoun, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham and Jackson Counties.
The advisory is set to begin at 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
Officials also warn citizens to plan on slippery road conditions, which could impact morning commutes Wednesday. However, officials add that as temperatures rise above freezing Wednesday morning, the precipitation will transition over to rain.
Drivers should slow down and use caution while driving as the advisory is in effect.
