LANSING, MI — As many as 75-percent of the jobless in Michigan who submit claims online won’t be paid on time this week due to the late signing of a 900-billion-dollar COVID stimulus bill by President Trump.
Anyone on the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation packages from the CARES Act will eventually get paid. That is according to the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency, but they note it’s not known how long the delay will be.
