LANSING, MI — Don’t expect a big drop in gas prices following the Christmas holiday weekend. Michigan’s average gas price is up considerably from last week, closing out 2020 with a 13-cent increase to two-dollars-27-cents a gallon in the state.
Triple-A Michigan says the price is also 31-cents higher than a month ago and people are paying 34-dollars for a full 15-gallon fill-up.
The most expensive prices are in Lansing and Jackson where drivers are paying an average of two-dollars-32-cents per gallon. Gas prices are expected to remain high at least through the end of the year, according to Triple-A Michigan.
