KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) is seeking help from the public in solving a 2018 murder case.
Around 1:30 a.m. on November 17, 2018, 32-year-old Kalamazoo man Marcus Kyle Ford was shot to death in the 600-block of Douglas Avenue in Kalamazoo.
Police say Ford had arrived at a residence in the area and entered a car that was backed into the driveway.
He was struck by gunfire moments later.
Police say Ford had attempted to run from the area, but collapsed a short distance away. He was located by responding officers and transported to Bronson Hospital, but ultimately died from his injuries.
The department says detectives have questioned those who were present when the shooting occurred, but have not been able to develop any leads from the collected information. The crime is still being investigated, but KDPS is now asking the community for help.
