Three apartments damaged, no injuries in Battle Creek blaze

BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Three apartments were heavily damaged in a morning fire Saturday in Battle Creek.

The fire at 21 Glenwood Ave. at the corner of College Street was reported to Battle Creek firefighters at 5:49 a.m. When they arrived they found flames from the front of the two-story house. The fire spread throughout the building, damaging the two apartments on the first floor and the one on the second.

All three apartments were occupied, but no injuries were reported. The residents were be moved to a motel and the American Red Cross was also called to assist.
