RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Court documents show that a Galesburg woman whose body was found in a Kalamazoo County lake had been shot and run over with a car, and the suspect in the murder allegedly confessed to the crime.
28-year-old Amber Walker’s body was found shortly after 12 noon Monday in the shallows of Three Lakes off of 35th Street near EF Avenue southeast of Richland.
A medical examiner ruled Walker’s death a homicide, saying she had been shot, attacked with a knife and suffered blunt force trauma.
24-year-old Chad White was arraigned on an open murder charge Wednesday.
Walker’s current boyfriend told WOOD-TV 8 that she went to meet up with White Monday to tell him she was no longer interested in him romantically. Court documents from investigators say they White allegedly told three different people, including his current girlfriend, that he had committed murder.
White was arrested around 8:00 p.m. Monday at a friend’s apartment in Plainwell. Also in that apartment, police found the gun believed to have been used in the murder, which had been stolen out of Galesburg.
White is being held at the Kalamazoo County Jail without bond. He is due back in court for a probable cause hearing December 29.
if the boyfriend knew that she was going to meet up with another man, then why didn’t he go along with her.. he should be felling some sort of guilt about letting his so called girlfriend go meet up with her so called ex.
