KALAMAOZO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – One person was injured in another overnight shooting in Kalamazoo.
At approximately 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers heard gunshots while on patrol near the 700 block of North Pitcher Street. Citizens had also contacted 911 Central Dispatch reporting having heard gunshots.
A description of a vehicle was provided and responding officers located the vehicle as it was leaving the scene. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled. The suspect vehicle was found unoccupied near the 1500 block of Woodward Avenue.
The suspects have not been identified at this time.
While on the scene investigating, a 26-year-old Kalamazoo resident arrived at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
