KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — UPDATE: The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim in a death now being treated as a homicide, WWMT reported Tuesday.
Previously, the Sheriff’s Office had reported the discovery of a body Monday at 35th Street and EF Avenue in Richland Township near Three Lakes. That case is now being investigated as a homicide, according to reports.
The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Amber Walker from Galesburg. Police say her body was found in a lake.
There is currently no further information regarding a cause of death. However, a person of interest is now in custody on unrelated charges. That person has not been identified at this time.
