KALAMAZOO, MI (WJXQ) – As soon as the Food and Drug Administration gives approval for Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, it will begin to be shipped out from a Pfizer facility in southwest Michigan.
The company has been manufacturing the vaccine in Kalamazoo County and says clinical trials show it is over 90-percent effective. The FDA advisory committee will meet this morning at 9:00 a.m. to consider giving the vaccine its approval for use in this country.
Millions of doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine could be available in the first month of approval, according to the drug manufacturer.
