LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Tuesday night, Republican U.S. Senate candidate John James announced that he his conceding the race to Democrat incumbent Gary Peters.
This comes after Michigan’s Board of State Canvassers voted to certify the November 3 General Election results Monday.
In a video posted on Twitter, James made the announcement and congratulated Peters on his victory.
He also said that he would be gifting Peters a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label, since the two shared some scotch at a Detroit Pistons game a few years ago.

I ran to help people & you helped me do that. Thank you.
As we continue to fight for our republic, remember the battle is not ours, but the Lord's. And our enemy is not our fellow Americans.
God bless you. God bless Michigan. And God bless America. pic.twitter.com/iF9hLQJzYM
