LANSING, MI — All eyes will be on Lansing today as the state’s board of canvassers meets to certify the election results.
In a normal year, the sign off is a formality, but this year it’s possible the four member board of two Democrats and two Republicans could deadlock on certifying Joe Biden as the winner of the state. At least three on the boar will have to vote to certify the election results.
Republicans in the state have urged the board to delay certification for two weeks to audit results in the Detroit area. That move derives from claim of election fraud by the Trump campaign.
