KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – As the second wave of coronavirus spreads across the region, volunteers with Feed the Fight Kalamazoo are gearing up to continue offering solidarity and food for area healthcare workers.
The latest distribution was Friday for the employees at Pride Care Ambulance in Portage.
Organizers say Feed the Fight Kalamazoo is a 100% volunteer initiative to help frontline healthcare workers meet the COVID-19 crisis head-on, knowing the Kalamazoo community has their back. More than $60,000 has been raised from 250 individual donors, and 70 plus volunteers have delivered 6,000 meals from 80 different restaurants since the pandemic began.
