MT. PLEASANT, MI — An investigation is underway by Michigan State Police into a shooting by Isabella County Sheriff’s deputies and state police troopers of an armed robbery suspect last weekend.
The suspect was shot several times Sunday evening leaving a gas station in Union Township, which is about an hour north of Lansing, with a handgun. He is hospitalized in critical condition, while a county sheriff’s deputy was treated and released for a leg injury.
A final report by police will be given to the Isabella County Prosecutor for review and consideration of charges.
