Ag Outlook 11-11-2020

With the Senate back in session and the House returning next week attention begins to turn to COVID-19 relief legislation. Optimism is reported both chambers can come to an agreement and sign off on more assistance. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell signaled last week following Election Day that the Senate would get to work on another coronavirus package. Specifics were vague. First comes funding the federal government as legislation doing just that expires December 11th. On that point McConnell and Nancy Pelosi have agreed to work on a budget bill to keep the government going through next September. But if no agreement is reached a partial shutdown will come in four weeks.
