BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – More buildings in Battle Creek are being closed to the public through the rest of November in an effort to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
The City of Battle Creek’s Clerk, Code Compliance and Inspections services are available only by phone and online.
Starting next Monday, Battle Creek City Hall and the Battle Creek Police Department will be closed to in person services until at least November 30. Staff will be available weekdays by phone and e-mail between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Battle Creek Transit will continue on regular schedules. The walk up window at the Transit building will remain open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.
Full Blast will be open only to court reservations. The fitness center will close, no open court times will be available and bus riders cannot buy Transit passes at this time. Please visit bcparks.org or call 269-966-3431 for court rentals.
City staff will re-evaluate both the community’s COVID-19 status as well as the positive cases and contacts among city staff at the end of Novembe.
36 city employees have tested positive for COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
