BARRY COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Last Wednesday, the Barry County Sheriff’s Office announced in a Facebook post that its front lobby will be closed until further notice.
This is due to the increase of COVID cases in the area, according to officials.
As a result, the following services will be suspended until the lobby reopens:
-
Fingerprinting
-
Sex Offender Registry
-
Car Vs. Deer reports
-
Walk in complaints
-
Inmate Visitation
The department noted that services suspended are not limited to those listen above.
Officials also noted that FOIA requests can still be submitted by emailing jpoll@barrycounty.org, or by mail.
However, area residents will still be allowed to deposit money in inmate accounts for bond and commissary, as well as drop off purchase permits in a designated drop box.
