MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WTVB) – Dalvin Cook carved up the Detroit Lions for 206 yards and two touchdowns on the ground to lead the Vikings to a 34-20 win in Minnesota.
Kirk Cousins passed for 220 yards and three scores, including two to Irv Smith Jr. The Vikings have won two in-a-row to improve to 3-and-5.
Matthew Stafford came off the COVID reserve list to throw for 211 yards and a touchdown, but was also picked off on consecutive drives as Detroit dropped to 3-and-5. Stafford cleared concussion protocol after the game. He took a knee to the head in the fourth quarter and left to be checked out.
Chase Daniel was 8-of-13 for 94 yards, a touchdown and an interception in relief. Austin Bryant and Romeo Okwara blocked Vikings’ punts.
The Lions became the first team to block two punts in a game since 2014. The Lions have lost six straight to the Vikings.
