KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety officers are searching for a man following an attempted robbery that led to a stabbing on the city’s Eastside.
First responders were called to the 900 block of Charlotte Avenue between Center and Bridge Streets around 5 p.m. Thursday and located a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim, who was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, was reportedly approached by an unknown suspect who demanded money, but when the victim refused, the suspect stabbed the victim and fled.
The suspect is described as a black man, about six feet tall, wearing a black hoodie with the hood over his head, dark pants, and a black face covering hiding his nose and mouth.
