LANSING, MI — Governor Gretchen Whitmer congratulated Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on Wednesday for his Michigan win.
While the national numbers are still too close to call, Whitmer said the people have spoken and “now is the time for our nation to come together.”
Whitmer says everyone has a common enemy in COVID-19 and says she is ready to work with the president and state lawmakers to find ways to keep people safe.
Biden currently has 253 electroral votes but needs 270 to become the next president.
