LANSING, MI — The Capital Area Transportation Authority will offer system-wide free rides to the and from the polls today. A valid voter registration card must be presented upon boarding.
That includes polling places in the City of Lansing, City of East Lansing, Delhi Township, Lansing Township, Meridian Township, Williamston Township and Ingham Intermediate School District.
Voter turnout is expected to be very heavy today. To vote in person in Michigan, you will be required to present at least one form of ID. It can be any of the following:
- Michigan driver’s license or state-issued ID card
- Driver’s license or personal identification card issued by another state
- Federal or state government-issued photo identification
- U.S. passport
- Military ID with photo
- Student identification with photo from a high school or accredited institution of higher learning
- Tribal identification card with photo
The polls in Michigan are open until 8:00 p.m. tonight.
