KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A fire Friday night at the Red Roof Inn on East Cork Street in Kalamazoo has caused extensive damage to the hotel.
Officials say the fire started around 10:00 p.m. on the second floor of the hotel, and the roof partially collapsed. Firefighters battled the blaze for about one hour before bringing it under control.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
