EAST LANSING, MI — Gamedays won’t be the same this fall on Michigan State University’s campus. The school has listed safety guidelines for on campus activities this Saturday when the Spartans play Rutgers at 12:00 p.m.
The school is encouraging everyone to watch the game on the Big Ten Network from the comfort of their own homes. The school is strongly discouraging attending watch parties of any sort. Tailgating will not be allowed on campus, according to an MSU press release.
The Spartan marching band, cheer and dance teams will not be participating in gameday activities. And there will be no player walk from the Kellogg Center to Spartan Stadium as in previous years.
The school says face coverings must be worn by everyone indoors and outdoors while on property owned or governed by MSU. East Lansing and MSU Police will be enforcing all COVID-19 safety protocols on Saturday.
