PORTAGE (WKZO AM/FM) – Pfizer is looking to get an emergency authorization use ruling on its COVD-19 vaccine as soon as late November.
The company’s CEO, Albert Bourla, posted a letter on the Pfizer website that said that if safety guidelines were met, the vaccine could be ready to be approved possibly in the 3rd week of next month.
The letter stated that three benchmarks must be met to seek that approval…they are that the vaccine is effective, that it is safe, and that manufacture of the vaccine can be done under stringent safety standards.
If approval is given, the manufacturing facility in Portage would produce the vaccine.
