KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Hunger-relief charity Broncos Kitchen announced Wednesday that it is moving its meal services indoors beginning this month.
Starting October 1 through December 17, Broncos Kitchen services will move inside the Wesley Foundation at the campus of Western Michigan University (WMU), located at 2350 Ring Road.
Free student dinners are available on Mondays and Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m. WMU students who do not own a vehicle can ride Metro Transit’s free bus service and connect with their new Ring Road bus route.
The bus stops at the corner of Business Court and Ring Road. Wesley is located directly across the street.
This month, Broncos Kitchen is serving the following menu items:
- Beef Noodles and Gravy (10/8)
- Brats (10/12)
- Jumbo Butterfly Shrimp (10/15)
- Hamburgers (10/19)
- Steak (10/22)
- Pizza (10/26)
- Hot Turkey Sandwiches (10/29)
Alternative entrees are served for vegetarians and individuals who do not eat pork products. A valid student ID is required to participate, and students from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College and Kalamazoo Valley Community College are welcome to participate.
Officials say Broncos Kitchen is not funded by any of the colleges or universities that it serves, and donations are accepted for program operations.

Officials add that since June 8, the charty has served 1,267 free meals to students.
