DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – Veteran goaltender Jimmy Howard will not return to the Detroit Red Wings.
Detroit general manager Steve Yzerman said yesterday that the team is looking at signing a free agent goalie.
Howard was drafted by the Wings in 2003 and notched 246 career victories in 543 games and was a three-time NHL All-Star. He struggled last season, however, ending with a record of 2-23-and-2 and a 4.20 goals against average.
