KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A group of Black women gathered in LaCrone Park in Kalamazoo Saturday to call for justice in the Breonna Taylor case.
The event, hosted by Uplift Kalamazoo, featured several women sharing their own personal stories, reading poetry, and discussing recent events that have fueled the Black Lives Matter movement.
The rally was peaceful. During the event, many women emphasized that there have been many times when they have not felt safe in their communities and stressed that change needs to come about.
