BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police are searching for a suspect that robbed an elderly man and then ran him over with his getaway vehicle.
It occurred Friday just before 10:30 a.m. at a gas station on the corner of Capital Avenue Southwest and Goguac Street West in Battle Creek.
Police say the 75-year-old man was robbed while sitting inside of his vehicle. The suspect then got into a parked vehicle at the gas station and the victim chased after him. Eventually the man was able to grab onto the suspect’s vehicle and he was dragged several feet before he let go and was run over by the robber.
The victim was last listed in critical condition. Authorities say that they are looking for a short, light-skinned black man, about 30-years-old. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans, and possibly white tennis shoes.
