ALBION, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A warrant has been issued for a man who Calhoun County authorities say impersonated a police officer when he stopped an Albion College student about a month ago.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports the suspect is accused of stopping a 20-year-old male as the student was walking on campus during the early morning hours of August 28 and then patting him down.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department was contacted after the student reported the incident to college officials.
It was later determined no one from the Sheriff’s Department or any other local police agency made contact with the student.
The suspect is said to be 30-years-old who lives in Marengo Township.
