BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Battle Creek Fire Marshal is looking into the cause of a house fire where two dogs were found inside.
It broke out around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday at a single-family home in the 600 block of Hamblin Avenue near Butler Street.
Multiple units were dispatched to the fire and found heavy flames coming from the rear of the structure. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, performed rescue searches, and located two dogs alive inside of the burning home.
Nobody was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
