PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek man could be facing charges after he stopped his vehicle on the railroad tracks in Pennfield Township.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the tracks near 105 Hampton Avenue, west of La Grange Avenue just before 2:30 a.m. Friday after Canadian National Railroad workers reported a vehicle immobilized on the tracks.
Authorities contacted the 29-year-old driver who was suspected of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
They are now seeking charges through the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office for operating while intoxicated and resisting and obstructing.
