DEARBORN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Gas prices in Michigan are down 6 cents compared to a week ago. Michigan drivers are now paying an average of $2.04 per gallon for regular unleaded. This price is 12 cents less than this time last month and 55 cents less than this time last year.
Motorists are paying an average of $31 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline; a discount of $13 from when prices were their highest last July.
According to AAA, lower demand has helped pump prices to decline.
“Low demand will likely help pump prices to continue their descent as summer transitions into autumn,” AAA spokesperson Adrienne Woodland said in a statement.
