KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — UPDATE: The 21-year-old woman who was struck by a car Saturday morning has died of her injuries.
Connor Meert of Kalamazoo was crossing West Michigan Avenue at Emajean Street in the Arcadia Neighborhood around 2 a.m. when she was hit by a car traveling through the intersection.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers say the vehicle had the right of way at the time of the accident.
Authorities found Ms. Meert lying in the road and unresponsive. She was taken to an area hospital where she later passed away early Sunday.
The crash remains under investigation.

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A car-pedestrian crash Friday morning has left a 21-year-old woman in critical but stable condition.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded at around 2:07 a.m. to a report of a car hitting the victim, who was attempting to cross West Michigan Avenue near Emajean Street.
Officers discovered her in the road, unresponsive. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The vehicle had the right of way at the time of the incident, according to officers, and the accident remains under investigation.
