LANSING, MI — Front line workers will be able to go to community college for free in Michigan next year. Governor Whitmer made the announcement of the Futures for Frontliners program Thursday.
Futures for Frontliners will use 24-million-dollars from the federal CARES Act to cover the costs. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on December 31st, 2020.
This is the nation’s first such program, according to the announcement.
