KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A shooting early Sunday morning remains under investigation by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
Just after midnight, officers responded to the 4200 block of Hidden Hills Drive on a report of shots fired. WMU Department of Public Safety tweeted around 1:45 a.m., “WMU Advisory: A shooting involving two victims occurred near Emajean Street. KDPS is investigating. Avoid the area.”
They found two victims who had been wounded, a 26-year-old Kalamazoo man and a 17-year old Kalamazoo man.
Both had non-life-threatening injuries, and were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Both are in stable condition.
Officers found 3 firearms, several vehicles hit by gunfire, and other evidence of a shooting.
A 37-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested in connection with the incident, and is lodged at the County Jail.
