KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) – A report by police indicates that the violence at a recent rally in Kalamazoo involving the Proud Boys was triggered by counterprotesters.
City officials in Kalamazoo say the report describes the actions of counterprotesters as the initial event in the violence.
Other people at the incident state a different version, saying that a fight between a Proud Boy and a homeless man was the spark that started things.
Others in the area mentioned that if the city had not allowed the Proud Boys, which has been designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, to protest in Kalamazoo, the violence would not have occurred.
Still others place some blame on the police, who didn’t intervene in the situation until fighting broke out.
