POKAGON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man from Edwardsburg is dead following a rollover crash in Cass County’s Pokaygon Township.
27-year-old Aaron Marquardt was traveling northbound on Barron Lake Road south of Pokagon Highway around 7:30 p.m. Sunday when he went through the curve and lost control of the vehicle, colliding into a utility pole.
Deputies say after he smashed into the pole the vehicle went airborne and rolled multiple times.
Marquardt was airlifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital where he was first listed in critical condition, but around 9 a.m. Monday authorities released a statement saying Marquardt had died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
