KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A federal court sentence has been handed down to a man charged with robbing an Oshtemo Township bank last fall.
A federal judge on Thursday sentenced Randell Lee Wicks to six and a half years in prison for the offense. He is also facing three years of supervised release and pay $13,836 in restitution.
Wicks was arrested for the armed robbery of Chemical Bank on September 12th.
Both he and another robber stole more than $13,000 while wearing masks and carrying handguns, before jumping into a getaway car and leaving the West Main Street location.
He was previously arraigned in Kalamazoo County Court in September of 2019, charged with bank robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, felony firearm possession, and obstructing a police officer.
