LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Governor Gretchen Whitmer is announcing her endorsement for Joe Biden.
She spoke on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program Thursday morning praising the former Vice President and his efforts to protect healthcare.
On her Twitter she wrote, “We need a president who will show up and fight for Michiganders, and @JoeBiden has proven time and again that he has our back.”
In addition, Whitmer will be joining Biden’s campaign as a co-chair.
Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm also announced that she is backing Biden. She said that Biden was the biggest ally the auto industry and the state had in the Obama administration during the great recession.
