KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — According to Wallethub, nearly 4 out of 10 people are focused on their finances.
Among the top items on the short list: Paying off old debt, saving to buy a house, getting on a budget, and building up a rainy day fund.
But Wallethub reports that less than half the people who make resolutions say they expect to stick to them all year, and that 7 out of 10 have admitted they’ve cheated on them in the past.
When it comes to financial resolutions, Wallethub said these are the top 10:
Repay 20% of your credit card debt.
Add one month’s pay to your emergency fund.
Pay bills right after getting your paycheck.
Make a realistic budget & stick to it.
Use different credit cards for everyday purchases & debt.
Look for a better job.
