KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police are reporting that a stolen Jimmy John’s delivery vehicle is now partially wrecked after a crash on West Lovell Street in downtown Kalamazoo.
The crash happened around noon on Friday, January 3rd after the driver hit a light pole before coming to a halt. The vehicle was originally reported as stolen to police earlier in the morning.
According to authorities, the car was driving in the wrong direction down a one-way path on Park Street before it turned onto West Lovell and hit the obstacle. No injuries were reported during the crash, and the driver has since been taken into custody by police. No suspect information or additional detail leading up to the crash have been released.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that as of 1 P.M. crews were still cleaning up the scene of the incident.
