KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety has announced the second annual “Pastors on Patrol” toy and coat drive for families in need.
According to an official press release, Pastors on Patrol is reaching out to the community to donate new or gently used coats and new toys. Pastors will be on hand at Public Safety Headquarters, located at 150 E. Crosstown to take donated items on the following dates:
- November 9
- November 16
- November 23
The drives will each take place from 9 a.m. to noon.
Following the donation period, the coat and toy giveaway will take place on December 7, 2019, from 10am-1pm at the Jennings Development Interplex located at 1515 N. Edwards St.
The men of the Pi Lambda Sigma Alumni Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. willbe assisting Pastors with the collection and giveaway.
Officials note that any Kalamazoo Public Safety station will accept coats, gloves, new toys and new hats throughout the month of November. Donations will be accepted until Monday, December 2, 2019 at 3 p.m.
