BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police are searching for a person of interest in connection to a fatal shooting at a house party over the weekend.
26-year-old Demarko Shandel Young is wanted for questioning related to the shooting death of 23-year-old Elijah Williams.
Williams, who was not the intended target, was struck and killed when an argument broke out on West Northside Drive in Battle Creek early Saturday morning when two people started shooting at each other.
This comes after one of the suspected shooters, 22-year-old Xavier Kellie-Sims, was arraigned on Thursday for open murder and felony firearm charges. He could face up to life without parole if convicted.
