OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three suspects are at large after an armed robbery outside an apartment complex in Oshtemo.
It happened just before 2:30 a.m. Friday on West Jefferson Commons Circle at the 58 West apartment complex.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies say the victim was approached by 3 men, forced to the ground, and robbed, suffering minor injuries.
The suspects, one who was armed with a black pistol, fled in a black 4-door sedan, possibly an early 2000’s Nissan.
The armed suspect is described as a black man, average build, between 5’10” to 6 feet, and was wearing a light gray zip-up hoodie.
The second robber is a black man average build, around the same height, in a black hoodie.
The last suspect is described as a black man, average build, between 6’0″ and 6’3″, wearing a purple hoodie. He also may have had longer hair sticking out from under his hood.
This comes about 5 hours after another victim was robbed by 4 suspects on Lafayette Avenue near Western Michigan University around 9:30 p.m., but it’s unclear if the two incidents are connected.
