KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A motorbike driver is dead after a crash on Kalamazoo’s Northside.
Public Safety officers were called to the 500 block of North Edwards Streets north of East Kalamazoo Avenue just before 2:45 a.m. Tuesday where the found the man on the railroad access road with a severe head injury.
Investigators believe he was riding a motorized bicycle without a helmet on near the railroad tracks when he hit a fixed object and crashed.
Officers attempted life-saving measures but the 56-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
