KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three people are facing multiple charges after a drug bust on Kalamazoo’s Northside.
Investigators with the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team and the Public Safety’s Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of West Paterson Street on Wednesday for a heroin and cocaine distribution investigation.
There they located a large amount of heroin, cocaine, drug packaging materials, and over $1,000 in cash.
Three Kalamazoo residents, ranging in ages from 27 to 40-years-old, are expected to face charges for possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine, felon in possession of ammunition, and maintaining a drug house.
In a statement KVET wrote, “The Kalamazoo area has experienced a large amount of heroin overdoses and citizens should be mindful that this drug and those commonly laced with it can easily be deadly. KVET would like to thank the citizens who submitted tips and gave information related to this incident.”
